Riveted

A documentary in production.

Riveted is a portrait of a singular, unique community: the Rose City Riveters of Portland, Oregon. Bound by their love of a women’s soccer team, their story is much bigger than sports. Historically, soccer culture and sports fandom has been plagued with violence, racism and homophobia. In contrast, the Riveters are fighting to make their stadium inclusive and discrimination-free. This is a story of finding chosen family amongst a group of passionate soccer supporters.

Supported by a RACC grant and a Women in Film Portland grant.

“A Thorns game is more than football. It’s people fighting to keep something alive, fighting for rights.”
